Educational Opportunities

My work also extends to supervising licensure candidates, giving educational presentations, and performing community outreach. In my twenty years of practice, and prior to that, in my years working with victims of domestic violence, perpetrators and victims of child abuse, as well as prevention, and disenfranchised groups such as the GLBTQ community in Durango, Colorado, I’ve learned a great deal about trauma. Its seeds not only in our thoughts, but in our biology. Its manifestations, in both individual lives and impact on the community as a whole. And the many, many ways in which we, both as clinicians and as laypeople, can effectively deter and address the often tragic consequences should trauma be left unaddressed. In all these areas, I welcome your questions, and the opportunity to see how I might lend you useful expertise, empowering to address this important issue.
